Yet again I have neglected this thing. I will use summer as my excuse, but thats not really a great one as I spent most of July and early August in the Hackney Wetherspoons job hunting and getting involved in social networking. Right now its the day before i turn 27 and I am sat in my new office at the An Viet foundation just off Kingsland road enjoying my new job. I am the project manager for a foundation that helps local Vietnamese refugees, asylum seekers etc with welfare and general community based projects that are not available to them via Hackney Council. Having a sense of well being and the feeling of a job well done at the end of the day is something I will be enjoying and getting used and although i am only 3 days in here, I feel very settled and I am greatly looking forward to the next chapter in my life.
Went to Cornwall for 8 days with Wes and Matt a couple of weeks back which was banging. It rained every day, I got soggy feet in Wes' parents tent and slept in the car, we surfed in the rain, the sun came out briefly one evening which felt like the best day of my life, I got sunstroke, had a barbeque in devon in the rain outside a toilet with Becca, Liz and their Plymouth/Jersey mates and had some mad random adventures with two of my favourite dudes. I am at work so have no access to pictures right now but will do a summer '08 picture blog in a few weeks time.
What else is going on, saw the hold steady in rough trade the other day which was awesome, Posi Mike has been staying with me for 2 weeks as he's been doing an internship at terrorizer, my mind is going slightly blank now. Anyway, heres to my 27th year on this earth. This year has been another mad adventure and The last 4 months will probably be no different.
